Bloggers Blog Awards

Its award season again! Twitter is currently filled with #BloggersBlogAwards tweets and I'm sure instrgram is too (though obviously not tweets).

Congratulations to all those shortlisted in their relevant categories.

Personally I would like to send a special congrats to Vix, Hannah, Jordan, Jemma and Laura. If you're not sure who to vote for then I recommend giving their blogs a look.

If you've not heard about the #BloggersBlogAwards until now you can find out more here. Hayley has done a great job putting together the awards, so well done to her too.

I have been super interested by the thoughts of a couple of bloggers this evening. They have mentioned creating their own blog award events to recognise specific categories and themes that some bloggers cover. These categories and themes are ones that can sometimes get overlooked in the hugely popular lifestyle, beauty and fashion world of blogging. Given my particular interest in mental health, its easy to guess what one of these categories is. Yup, mental health!

I have spoken before about it not all being about numbers and awards, but I would love to see more of the smaller bloggers I know, and see doing amazing things, getting recognition. Not to mention the awesomeness of the positive and proactive response of those people thinking up ideas on supporting more bloggers to get recognised and blogging in general.

I am excited to see and hear more about those ideas and to spread the #BloggersBlogAwards love.
